Too Much Candy? Dentist Collecting Treats for Troops | Community Spirit
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
You can find a little bit of Halloween candy just about everywhere this week.
That's why a dentist in Champlin is hoping you'll be motivated to save your family's teeth and donate your excess Halloween booty to a good cause this week...the troops overseas.
In fact, Dr. Andrew Moffitt, who specializes in replacing lost and broken teeth, will pay you $1 per pound for up to 5 pounds of that candy (unopened and uneaten, of course).
He's also donating $500 to the school that donates the most candy.
It's all happening from 3:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 3rd at Moffitt Restorative Dentistry, located at 502 Jefferson Highway N in Champlin.
The candy along with toothbrushes and toothpaste are being shipped in care packages for the troops.
